Event location: ORT House Conference Centre, London NW1
Date: 2nd Dec 2009
Event time: 09:30 to 16:15

As the momentum for personalization and recovery approaches grows,
service users are increasingly participating as partners in all aspects
of health and social care delivery, planning and professional training.
This conference provides a timely overview of personalisation and
recovery in mental health.
This study day looks at the cross-over between personalisation and
recovery in mental health. It examines if, and how, personalised
choices can facilitate the recovery journey and what needs to change
both systemically and culturally to ensure that they do. This will
include a look at the interface between health and social care. The
study day will involve keynote speakers, interactive workshops, a panel
debate and stands that will explore the theory and evidence base to
date. You will also hear about some on-the-ground examples of
innovative personalised services and support and their impact on the
lives of service users and carers.
