Kieron has a significant experience in health and social care commissioning including as a Primary Care Trust Chief Executive and Director of Adult Social Services, as well as significant experience as Director in a Mental Health Trust.

Miranda Stead - Programme Co-ordinator

Miranda has worked extensively in the field of mental health for over 15 years and is also a Director for Mednet Consult Ltd. Miranda has worked within the pharmaceutical industry sector and her last role was international/national medical relations manager.

Steve Appleton- Senior Project Manager 

Steve has over twenty years experience health and social care. A qualified social worker by background and managed community mental health services. During his time working at SHA level he led strategic development, policy implementation and performance management in mental health, learning disability, substance misuse and health & social care in criminal justice. In a voluntary capacity Steve serves as an independent health expert on The Football Foundation's Community Assessment Panel, advising them on the allocation of grants to community projects. Steve is working on a number of elements within the mental health commissioning programme, including QIPP and the impact of the downturn for commissioners.

Diane Woods - Senior Project Manager

Diane has worked in mental health since 1984 as an RMN, a CPN and Operational Service Manager before going into Strategic Project Management across health and social care reconfiguring services. Diane now leads the commissioning at NHS Surrey for Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Substance Misuse and CAMHS. Her commissioning work has involved leading innovations in mental health promotion delivery and employment and vocational services in the voluntary sector, supporting two services to become Social Firms, the first known in the country to come from NHS provision.
Diane's work with the WCC mental health programme covers a number of elements within the system reform agenda, including PbR for mental health, the standard contract and the quality framework.

Mau
rice Burns - Programme Manager

Maurice has extensive experience in mental health in
both the NHS & Local Government. His previous roles include a Local Authority Head of MH Commissioning and Director of Mental Health in two large NHS Trusts. For the last four years he has led a regional Commissioning development programme in the East of England. He combines his current national role with his work for a Mental Health Foundation Trust.

Katy Davies - Programme Support

Katy supports the administration for this programme and also the commissioning for population, mental wellbeing programme. Previously, Katy was the Deputy Manager for a well known High Street retail store.

Margaret Oates - Information and Outcomes Lead

Margaret was Project Manager for the NIMHE Outcomes Measures project. Margaret has also been involved in the NHS Service Mapping collection. Margaret worked as an RMN spell out for 10 years before specialising in Information Management.

Andrew Bennett - Senior Project Manager

Andrew, until very recently was a PCT lead for Partnership and non-acute commissioning, with a particular interest in mental health. Having had broad previous NHS and social care experience, including acute, community and social care commissioning - As a social worker by profession who has also worked as an interim NHS Director of Commissioning, among a number of other roles. His role in the World Class Commissioning Mental Health Programme (jointly with ADASS) focuses on two main areas: How to take and apply learning from 'Intelligent Commissioning' in local Councils and 'World Class Commissioning' in the NHS to support joint or integrated mental health commissioning and pulling together development across the team on the World Class Commissioning guide for mental health services
